Anime References is dedicated to explaining the references, parodies, jokes, translation stuff, and other things in anime which can be easily overlooked by viewers. It may be surprising how many things fly over viewers’ heads.
There is specifically a focus on things which viewers would overlook if they lacked prerequisite knowledge. For example, to recognise a parody of something, the viewer would need to know the original thing. On the other hand, there is less focus on stuff such as easily missed subtle details which could be figured out without specific prerequisite knowledge.
Anything that uses the actual terms which can be looked up by the viewer themself or is already explained in the subtitles also do not need to be explained (probably).
If you take any original content from this website, it is appreciated if you could credit it. Otherwise, it could be plagiarism.
